quote: Not debatable at all. A complete idiot would say Mickey was average. I don't think he means he's an average college basketball player. It's that his skills are average at best. yes he's a great shot blocker, in college. But everything else about his game was average, and needs a lot of work to be a long term professional basketball player. He was able to do what he did in college b/c of athleticism, and athleticism alone. That doesn't translate to the NBA since everyone is as athletic or more. There's no 5'11 PG from ole miss coming at you anymore, it's Russell Westbrook. He's not blocking Westbrook. He's a terrible on the ball defender in the post as well as on the perimeter. and his jumpshot needs a lot of work. His ceiling in the NBA is Dante Cunningham.

you need to read what he responded to again. It was about college basketball and LSU, not nba potential

Hopefully he's got some Rosetta Stone gift cards.

Come on now, I don't think the Boston dialect is that different.

This thread is AMAZING! Almost everyone said he he had no chance at being drafted and Europe was his only chance. Meanwhile....Mickey just signed a 4 year $5 million dollar contract with 2.4 million guaranteed in the first 2 years! Its a much better contract than many first rounders will get and it allows him to become an unrestricted free agent after 4 years!

I'll admit I'm surprised he signed for what he did. I thought he was most likely going overseas. Glad he can be another player representing LSU in the NBA!

Happy for Mickey. Congrats Mick. Great for the program to have 2 guys get drafted and be on rosters this year.

I haven't looked at the contract and I won't waste my time. If you say it's guaranteed then cool. I'm glad for him. However, just like in the NFL paying these QB's, there are some dumb moves made all the time. I will be absolutely stunned if he does anything at all in the NBA...and although stranger things have happened, I can't imagine a team guaranteeing him $2.4M when he may not even make the team.....hey...good for him though.

May not make the team? Clearly if you saw the salary of his contract he's definitely gonna be on it

you know as much as most on here, which is very little. I was never in the threads saying he wouldn't get drafted. However, I watched him at LSU. He couldn't dominate in college....but he is a guarantee to be an NBA player. OK. Has the NBA sank that low?

So we did have two NBA players on our roster after all. Folks here kept saying we didn't.

Good for Mickey.

LSU fans always know best.

$1,250,000 per year for four years. Not bad.

He must have a hell of a manager because after reading this thread it's obvious that there is no way he has the talent to play in the NBA.

Shouldn't the thread be titled: Jordan Mickey to enter Pakistani pro league draft?
Cause the dude isn't getting drafted by the NBA. He is getting some pretty bad advice. I wonder what the over/under is on him coaching AAU teams in 3 years?
Might as well declare for the NFL while he's at it. Makes no sense. Just laughably bad decision.
Bye Felecia!

JUST WOW, oh and Felecia is getting paid !!!!
