A ton of big shows have designated seating on the floor in the arena. You aren't forced to sit down. It just means I have my spot reserved without having to deal with elbowing and clawing on the floor, dealing with douchebags who push their way to the front no matter what time they got there.

It's fun both ways, but I'd by no means call seats a "dealbreaker".

This isn't the arena. This is Champions Square. Seating would absolutely ruin a show there in my opinion.

I don't even understand how that works there. Do they rope off a section and add seats?
Was considering the drive to BHam to see MM at Iron City. This may be my alternative. I don't give a shite about Smashing Corgan. Seen them before and wasn't impressed.

I don't get the seats thing either. I'm just going to either buy some of the cheaper GA tickets in the back or maybe wait and see if stubhub gets cheap for better tickets. Not worried about it either way. Have a feeling this show won't be very good. No way am I spending $80 to see this.

So GA Area is the dome walkway? Idk that I'd pay $28 for that. The entire bottom is reserved seating...

I think so, but don't really know. I got the groupon cause didn't want to fork over $80 for a floor seat. I don't really care how close I am as long as I can hear it and grab a beer.

The Alt-J show is all GA, no seats, but they expect people to sit down for Marilyn Manson? That's fricking stupid. Especially outdoors in the middle of summer. This has to be one of Corgan's douche moves to piss off Manson's fans. He hates moshing or any sort of fun really.

So....anyone get tix? Looks to be plenty still available. I just can't decide what to do with that seating arrangement. Can't pull the trigger.

Will be in seats just to piss off jester. Or just cause I want to see Pumpkins/Manson the same night and might not get the chance again. I wasn't one to hate the Voodoo SP show as much as some. Some personalities (douchey or not) just have a larger than life feel to them on the stage.

shite, I went ahead and did seats too. MM at the Saenger way back was one of the best shows I've ever seen. My bro and I were on the second level and at one point our level was bouncing and I looked up and the level above us was bouncing. Thought for sure we were dying that night. MM puts on a SHOW. SP......not so much.
This will be my Champions Square concert litmus test.

I'm just gonna get GA. The party will be in the back for Manson's set and it will be easier to leave when I get bored of SP.

I've never been to a concert at Champions Square. I walk by there a lot and wonder how the set up works and if it's worth giving a shot.

BTW, I saw Manson only once and that was at, believe it or not, House of Blues. Had the original group including Twiggy with him. Was a pretty wild show in that venue.

That's the one. I remember being on the floor looking up and just waiting for that balcony to collapse.
