How much should I expect to pay for someone to come in and give my front garden a tune-up. Weed, mulch, plant 4-6 new plants... Assume a typical size garden in a typical Baton Rouge neighborhood. Need ballpark price.

Do you have the plants and mulch? If not it would probably be around $200 in materials and $300 to $400 in labor. It'll vary greatly depending on company. A landscape company that has a brick and mortar location would charge double that and up sell you. A small individually owned company with a couple of guys may even do it for less.

Come on dude -- man up and do it yourself. That's sort of like hiring someone to take care of your woman. Get down and dirty -- unless of course you are way beta/metro - then I cant advise you

Do you guys even have Mexicans? There is no way you should pay more than $20 an hour and what your OP described wouldn't take more than 5 hours.

Typically it should be a dollar four-ninety.

mulch - $50/ yard including install
plants - $25-$50 per plant depending on materials
weed - $200 per ounce depending on the dealer

eta: with $50 for cleanup work, probably looking at $250ish
