Elon might get a few rich people to overpay for less efficient battery cars so they can feel good about themselves, but every single one of those Tesla owners eats fruit or wears clothing that was brought to their market via petroleum. Or Elon himself has the Tesla parts shipped to the factory in diesel trucks. It is all an illusion.

39% of power plants in this country are fueled by Coal, thus Elon's environmental car is in essence coal fired. Funny shite.

Colorado is nice. Sunny and 70 here for most of the last two weeks.

Economy strong. People are very happy and nice. We have weed.

People in red states are miserable. You can see it when you leave one.

I also don't get the bashing of Texas' economy. Isn't this America? Why are we rooting for our brothers to fail?

The OP is a lib. One of the few bright spots in the American economy over the past few years has been Texas, and of course, because it's a Republican stronghold, the libs want it to fail.

I have a liberal friend who works for the state of Texas who curses oil companies left and right. We'll see how much he curses when the state cuts jobs and Obamacare takes root in the state's insurance.

Perverted, huh?

I'm wondering how a Repbulican won the Senate seat there for it being a blue state and all.

..and don't worry. Most states will have pot legalized within 10 years.

What if he snuck up on you one day and fricked you at the pump? Would you then change your opinion?

I was in town last week and was sitting on the 242 overpass by I-45 and counted 8 constructions cranes within about a 5 mile area. Granted a couple were for highway construction and the rest I assume were doing work in the Woodlands related to oil/gas.

Everything you listed has a substitute. Gas for our vehicles does not.

When gas prices are down, there are more vehicles on the road. Therefore the substitute is find a method of transportation with a lower cost. People do it everyday.

Yeah pretty much. Also, let's ignore the inconvenient little fact that his state is probably home to over 10 $1bn energy companies. Can think of a good 5 or 6 off the top of my head. Shouldn't put a damper on the state's economy at all man, think about all the weed they can tax brah.
