I agree. Diving actually bothers me less than watching players try to stay up and continue a play after contact only get a foul call 10% of the time whereas going down immediately is rewarded 80% of the time. And, like you say, the majority of the inconsistency happens inside the box.


Neymar can be annoying but it's also frustrating that, like Totti in his prime, opposing team will foul him 40 times a match if allowed. That robs the neutral fan of watching his dribbling skills, which I enjoy more than seeing him hacked every time he gets on the ball.
