But, but we have never made the kids bunt in practice before. fricking unbelievable.
They should do nothing this week but bunt and practice base running. Oh, and how to keep the damn ball in front of you when you are up by 1 with two outs in the 9th.

It's 2015 in late March and we've got true freshmen that "have never bunted in [their] lives."

bullshite excuse. Then pinch hit a player that can put a damn bunt down. I played high school and college ball, and coached high school for 5 years. Bunting is all about attitude. I had some of my weaker athletes on my team who were the best bunters. You know why? Attitude. They wanted to do what they could to help the team win. To be at a program like LSU and not be able to bunt is absolutely ridiculous.

I don't doubt that Deichmann probably never bunted in high school. But someone on the bench could have.

I think CPM was trying to catch lightning in a bottle. Deichmann was reportedly crushing the ball in BP.
He made a bad bet against long odds by not bunting him or someone else who had bunted before.

I can promise you deichman has practiced bunting in high school. Every high school in America practices this. He may have never done it in a game but that's a horse shite excuse.

Bunting is for small ball teams. This team is a swinging for the extra base hits to destroy our opponent will. If we resort to bunting we wil never make it to the World Series. Swing on Tigers
