I am puzzled why CPM yanks pitchers sometimes that are cruising.

Newman seemed "on" today for example. He yanked him after two. He hadn't given up any runs and had struck out 3.

It seems we have to pitch some of the guys too often as if they are closers.

Yep. I actually agree with this and I'm not one to second guess that kind of stuff

This game was lost because we burnt our closer for no damn reason.

It's almost like a platoon system of some kind.

Could have pitched Hunter until he got in trouble and might have gone through the 8th.

And because the LF played a two out single into an inside the park HR to tie the score.

This isn't new. But PM has made terrible pitching moves his whole career here. Not saying he hasn't made some good ones too. Just that I'm not surprised.

Lets say they didn't burn stallings Friday night. Would he have came in to close it out yesterday?

Yesterday wasn't a save situation by the 9th, right?

Well, I assume when LSU got it going, tied at 2, PM would've gotten Stallings up to warmup. He would've gotten warm when Foster hit the 2 run job, and since he was already warm, and presumably didn't pitch on Friday, they probably would brought him in IMO.
