From what I've heard, both QB's looked good, but Jennings won the day.

So Miles isn't lying then?

Miles: "A number of guys got in the backfield and made big plays." He singled out Sione Teuhema, Deion Jones and Deondre Clark.

Are they counting Jacory Washington as a WR?

He's fast, really fast. He makes fast guys look not fast.

I love to watch Sione play. He seems to always be in the backfield.

Another spring Saturday, another LSU football scrimmage in the books, and the advantage in the Tigers’ third outing of the month went to Anthony Jennings and the LSU offense. Jennings completed 9 of 14 passes, according to Les Miles, for 200 yards and two scores, with two additional touchdowns in red zone work. Brandon Harris completed "a handful” of his 22 attempts, which Miles later clarified as "10 or 12.” "I’ve got big hands,” he joked.
Miles talked at length about his quarterbacks, giving as close to a definitive statement on the position as he has all spring. "Anthony Jennings probably has performed better on more days,” Miles said, "and other days it’s been Brandon Harris.”
"It’s year two,” he added. "We expect more out of them and expect them to not only execute the offense, but to also give us experience at the play caller and understand where we want to go and what we’re supposed to do. It’s heighted expectation.”
Setting a goal of completing 70 percent of the team’s passes, Miles noted that while Jennings has had the edge on more days, he’s not seeing enough separation between the two for his liking. "I already know they’re better than they were last year,” he said. "To find a real quality quarterback and to have separation from one to the other, that’s what I’m looking for. I’m not necessarily seeing that.”
After the defense took the day on the last scrimmage, Miles gave a slight edge to the offense as a whole. Leonard Fournette rushed for 100-plus yards, Darrel Williams nearly as many, and DJ Chark added three catches for 99 yards and two TDs, including a 70-yarder on the first possession.
"He just seems to make plays, expects himself to make plays more,"Miles said of Chark, who has had a breakout spring. "He’s coming."
Trey Quinn grabbed two touchdowns, as well, and Jacory Washington grabbed one from the tight end spot. "This was probably the best offensive scrimmage,” Miles said. "With a call, they may have bested the defense today.”
Still, Miles was pleased with some things on defense, especially the pass rush. He noted a Sione Teuhema touchdown on a fumble recovery, with additional pressure from Deondre Clark and Deion Jones.
"They were all around the quarterback today,” Miles said. "There were a number of guys that got into the backfield and made big plays. I enjoyed that. There was a bunch of pressures and sacks.”
NOTES :Miles said about half the scrimmage was spent inside the 20s working on tight zone situations. There was also some kickoff, kickoff return, and punt work.
Maquedius Bain is an early lock to start at defensive end. Miles named Lewis Neal as the likely second starter, with Clark and Teuhema in the mix, as well.
Duke Riley led all tacklers, though Miles didn't give a number. Tied for second were Jamal Adams, Jones, and Teuhema, all with six stops.
Miles added that "Kendell Beckwith made some real significant speed plays defending the pass and getting to runs."
At the defensive tackle spot, Miles said Davon Godchaux and Christian LaCouture are entrenched as starters. Greg Gilmore is the early favorite as the No. 3 DT, with Frank Herron and Trey Lealaimatafao next in line.
QUOTES :"We’ll look at Donte Jackson when he comes in here pretty quickly. At 10.3 100 meters, he gives you some get up and go that’s pretty strong." - Miles on kick returns
"Both Godchaux and LaCouture were young. They were coming themselves. Now the good news is we have two real veterans, and three talented guys that can step in and play very well. If we can get them up to the level we need them, so that they can not only play but push the starters, that’s the advantage." - Miles on the defensive tackles
"I think we’re improved. We continue to understand what the defense is meant to do with calls. We still make mistakes, but there’s an opportunity for that defense to really play well for games. I think there’ll be several places that scheme is different. There’s an opportunity to substitute when appropriate and also they put themselves in a position they don’t have to substitute and they can make calls without. As the defense continues to develop knowledge as it runs through the kids, the players, you’ll find there will be significant differences. It allows us to operate fast without substitution." - Miles on defensive development under Kevin Steele
"He was a true freshman last year. I think there’s a need to understand that’s just a glimpse of what a guy is going to be in his career, not the answer." - Miles on Trey Quinn

I'll take his word for it for now. If he's full of shite it will be obvious in the Spring game. Jennings issues are very recognizable after seeing them for an entire season. Think I'll check this one out in person.

When will people realize everything you just quoted is total bull shite

Chark sounds like he's going to be a Devin Smith or Phillip Dorsett clone (I originally thought Dural clone, but it seems like he can do it against a top tier secondary).
