Give me the contract and I'll buy myself a nice ring.

Give me the ring.

If you are telling me I will make 8-10 Mil a year and win a title vs making 15-20 a year and never winning, give me the ring for sure. The money is plenty for any person in the world to be in the top 1% of earners, and as an elite athlete you want to win

I'm sure all things being equal, they all want to "win" but we've got enough evidence across all the leagues to know that the majority usually go to the top payer or somebody really close.

Hell, even (anecdotal) super competitor Peyton Manning was never one to leave cash on the table.

guarantee. A ring with all the diamonds and bling with the word "Word Champions"

That's lame. Championships are special because they are hard to obtain, just giving me one takes all the fun out of it and I'm taking way less money for it? Pass

I didn't say give. I mean getting a ring as being a productive member on the team as appose to being a ring pimp. The purpose of having a championship is a sense of accomplishment.
