Autograph time for baseball game

taking my son to The Box Sat night for a ballgame. He asked if we could get his ball signed by some players. Whats the best time to do this , before or after the game?

During batting practice is a good time, normally players are right by dugout
Once infield starts they want to be left alone
After game if you wait by players entrance/exit, all of them will sign as they leave the park but you have to wait a little while if your willing to do that
