Do you want him to trash his teammate?

Why do you think he was posting it as a negative? I'm glad Jennings is helping Harris. That's something great to hear. Help him understand the offense, checks at the line, getting them in and out of plays, blitz pickup, etc.

These type of "what else was he gonna say?" answers always neglect that he could have just given the company line of "its a good competition" and left it at that. I think its positive that he felt comfortable enough to give a little, even if not that much more, detail.

Exactly. I would expect the typical "They are both doing great and improving everyday", thing. I like to hear that Jennings and Harris are both working TOGETHER, on the betterment of the team. If you listen to both of their interviews, they seem to be more focused on getting better than trying to win a competition.

This makes me sad

It makes me "sad" that we have fans who are such drama queens that they can find something to complain bout with one LSU player trying to help another LSU player.

Most players will try to help other players. This is really not all that hard to understand and is why a group of players are referred to as a team.

LF7 Talks about Harris and his maturity, RB checkdowns

LF& on BH; He has matured, calling the blitzes for our RBS, knows when to check it down, knows a lot of coverages. (Things are working better with him in?) Yes. He knows the right defenses, the right plays to call, when the defenses are switching. (Are you catching more passes) Yes, our route tree developed a lot, it is a lot larger than last year (from no checkdowns and staring down Dural or the primary) and with everyone playing over top (passing) we (RBs) are right there waiting for the checkdown.

So he is getting checkdown swing passes in open space and that is why he is running wild with WRs spreading the field and leaving an open lane on the edge.

Standard statement posted on all Jennings v Harris threads:

Both of these guys seem like fine young men and represent LSU well. Why must we choose sides in a LSU QB "battle." Honestly, I am rooting for a guy that gets in there and effectively runs the offense, doesn't turn the ball over, moves the ball down the field, puts points on the board and helps this LSU team win.

All I can think of is that I really don't need the thought of "Fournette" and "Pro day" going through my head in a sentence together yet

Ha exactly the thought that crossed my mind as well
