Real Estate Auctions

In lieu of the real estate auction taking place in New Orleans tomorrow, (mostly Gentilly, Lakeview and lower 9th options owned by the city) I was wondering if any of the real estate gurus have any insight on these auctions or past experiences getting a good deal?

Look out for unclear titles. Many of those properties cannot be insured because the city government making the sale lacks a clear title to the property.
