One because it was a fetus, not a person.

I know they didn't. And understand why. Colorado doesn't recognize a fetus as a life....therefore it cannot be murdered in the law's eyes.

And what would happen if I stomped on a nest of eagle fetuses....I mean eggs?

"Considered." That is the key word. It is conveniently considered that it is MERELY a fetus. You just said that. The fact that there are people in the world who throw around descriptors like "merely a fetus" when describing a 7 month old human in the womb is morally sickening.

Very true and for the life of me I'll never understand it.

Not trying to get too political here, but its amazing to me how liberals will yell and scream for the rights of everyone and everything. They'll pitch a fit over something like voter id, the rights of illegal immigrants, or the right for health care for all. However, when it comes to abortion and life of the unborn, they'll completely ignore the right of the fetus to have a chance at life.

Good God I hope this is a troll (albeit a weak one). I've always considered you a decent poster, but this is disgraceful.

It always baffled me when I met someone that is a vegetarian because they are against the slaughter of animals for food....but yet is prochoice.

Not a white male baby, but a black female, I wouldn't bet against it.

Hard to troll when all I did was state the Colorado law in this thread.

The eagle thing, maybe. Though I still think eagles are better than humans. We are, collectively, awful.

I just hope the religious crazies don't win. If they do and abortion is banned throughout he country you'll hear about these stories weekly.

You are an idiot. One has nothing to do with the other. Couple that with a big part of the religious "crazies" mantra is about respecting life how you can get from this situation to what you said s an amazing execise in mental gymnastics.

We can be yes, but when we put animal lives above human lives (and reasonable people who aren't libtards defend such thoughts) we have reached a point of FUBAR.

"Go ahead and abort that baby.....was probably gonna be a mass murderer/retard/lifetime welfare recipient anyway. Or a republican."

Because they eat babies? Your analogy is as weak as your other points. Stay in your lane of changing bedpans because legal arguments are not your forte.

The fact that you and other pro-life advocates want to make this tragedy into some political statement is pathetic. Also: the baby did breathe on its own while in the tub. I think the prosecutor could get a conviction for murder but it would go to the CO supreme court to have them clarify the statute.

If legal abortion goes away you will weekly hear about Davey Joe cutting Sarah Ann's belly open with her poppas tools to perform an abortion. Fact.

Because they are upset over animals being killed.....but not unborn babies being killed.

Did they ask the mother if she considered her baby a child or merely a fetus?

Breathing on its own for a minute or two in a tub is not the same as being able to live for a reasonable amount of time outside of the womb. A baby born that young will need respiratory assistance to keep breathing.

So if it took just one breath outside the womb, it's murder?
