So they can't be focused on winning it all while getting a little extra push from other players hating on their play?
At this point in the season, they don't need an extra push.

You think there's something that can magically happen again in the elite 8 that'll given them more motivation?

I'd actually hope this is a bad troll, because the alternative is worse.

There's a loss and then there's getting embarrassed

WVU lost by the same amount of points as did UCLA...think about that for a second

WVU was supposed to be this big test for UK and got straight blitzed on the big stage.

UK should be focused on winning the NC despite what someone on the opposing team says before a game and if they aren't that is a major flaw.

god yall are so butthurt

In the famous words of lil john, "Dont talk no shite, wont be no shite".

WVU dude talked out of his arse, UK made a point. Now they are moving forward.

Seriously…

WCS literally said, "Adds fuel to the fire. Puts a little personal stuff into it…" and "now I'm kind of juiced."

It's hilarious some random posters on a message board think they know more about the mindset of the team than the actual players on the team

A loss is a loss, many would say your teams loss to little brother last week is worse than WVUs last night.

Huggins is too good of a coach to let last nights performance linger.

why? We weren't going to make any noise this year in the tournament and Bill Self teams have been known to choke early.

I'm sure his players would still shite talk if they played again next year.

If an athlete says something in a pre or post game press conference, it MUST be true.

But again, i'll repeat it for the 3rd time, it did motivate them, I have no doubt about that. But if the WVU guy never said it, UK players would have found something else to motivate them just as much.

Because WVU got destroyed by Kentucky as many teams have and will. This game will be forgotten about once UK blows the doors off Notre Dame on Sunday. KU losing to Wichita though has to be a kick in the balls and an ego check for KU fans.

Of course they will. I meant he's too good of a coach for this game to have any hangover effect on a program he runs.

They were playing with backups...their team now resembles nothing with what team played that day

There literally has not been a beat down as bad Kentucky over WVU in the history of the NCAA tournament in the Sweet 16 round or later. Only one time had a team been doubled up before yesterday and it was in 1940, Indiana vs. Springfield (MA) 48-24.

Cal hyping his players to play hard is not worse than WVU players tweeting dumb shite to the best team in the country

that logic is hysterical though

not by 39 points...Mid Majors/Div II schools and Mizzu are only schools to have worse defeats by the hands of UK

Bucknell, Bradley, UNI, VCU, it's happened to KU fans plenty in the past.

I have no idea what this means or when I said anything about Cal hyping his players to play hard.

but UK wasn't playing with a chip on their shoulder

and if they were, it's even worse and is a "major flaw", even though they won by 39 points and are undefeated

using WVU player's comments/tweets to hype his guys up

explain what you meant by "the alternative is worse" then.
