Most was 7 previously.

Having 1/3 of the first round pegged out of high school is pretty damn impressive

They meaning the evaluators who called them 5 stars, the coaches in charge of developing them, or the players working hard enough to live up to the billing?

This.....They had to do something PR wise after the Superbowl being played by inferior ranked athletes by there standards.

I was responding to the article posted by the OP. Truthfully at the end of the day I could care less about rankings. (and what caliber stars played in superbowl.)

[Using tRant logic]

But more 4*s and 3*s will be drafted than 5*s, so 4*s and 3*s are obviously better! Duh, it's math!

How is NFL teams drafting specific players a PR move for the rankings services?

Is this where I mention that Hester was a 2-star?

Star ranking means nothing when you step on a college campus its about who adapts better or works the hardest. To me star rankings is nothing but a bunch of adults making money off of high school kids who don't have a quarter!

Its fun to watch it but its doesn't matter in the end. When the Saints draft at 13 I will not ask what ranking they had.

I also trust our staff. When we play on Sat I dont care what rankings they had already.

The rankings services are clearly showing these statistics to justify there rankings. If you dont feel that way good for you. But to me this is an agenda.

The purpose of the stars is to show how ready these kids are to make an impact and play at a high level.

over the years 20% of the 5 stars make it in the NFL.

a couple of this 1/3 will be busts and one or two will just get injured and never be the same after.
