How exactly did you erase it? This is a serious question and not me trying to say you can't do this haha. I have to extract my data using an outside computer, so I'm just curious.

There was little red button that said "erase."

It was a small plane. King Air. Not an airliner.

I wish my crap was that simple haha. I'm an avionics guy on the C-17, it's just one big giant flying computer and I hate it haha.

more than likely an old analog CVR, which was what I was referring to, they've been gone for a long time, we don't even have the option anymore, and even before they went away they deactivated that feature and put the breakers down in the E&E compartment
