Duncan Sheik - Barely Breathing

I remember hearing that Collective Soul - Shine was the most played song of the 90s. So that gets my vote. Even if it's not true, still a badass song.

This might be the best song of 90s, but Smells Like Teen Spirit was probably the biggest.

One Sweet Day - Boyz 2 Men and Mariah Carey. They still hold the record for most weeks at number 1.
It's not even a good song. The success of that song is due to what I'll refer to as The Hansel Effect.
Both Mariah Carey and Boyz 2 Men "were so hot back then".
Hansel -- he's so hot right now

Was Brittany Spears - Hit me baby one more time in the 90s or early 2000's?
Crash Into Me/Ants Marching/Satellite/What Would You Say/So Much to Say by DMB and Alive/Jeremy/Even Flow/Daughters by Pearl Jam are all iconic 90's songs that should be mentioned.

Biggie's lyric in Juicy says... get paid, blow up like the world trade. Always thought that was a crazy coincidence?

The "biggest" song was Smells Like Teen Spirit.
The best song was Paranoid Android.

you've never heard Macarena, I Will Always Love You, or Candle in the Wind?
I didn't notice candle in the wind. Yea, I know that song.
I have heard I will always love you - didn't connect it up.
I probably have heard several of the others - just never paid attention to their titles

If we are talking " biggest" then it's undoubtedly "I Will Always Love You"

I've probably heard it before. Sounds somewhat familiar Just doesn't ring a bell.
I was looking for that Celine Dion Titanic song - how can it not be on there. I certainly heard it enough.

The biggest song was the one that defined the 90's. There really isn't much debate that song is Smells Like Teen Spirit. When I think of the 90's that opening riff starts playing in my head.
Heck, Motley Crue came out with Dr. Feelgood in the 90's. Metallica came out with the Black Album. None of it mattered once that track from Nirvana dropped. After that it was all Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Smashing Pumpkins, Stone Temple Pilot, etc. with some Red Hot Chili Peppers as a side dish. Metallica still kept going strong, but it wasn't the same.
