Saw that earlier. I still remember his first few years in the league. He was absolutely amazing & seemed to be a genuinely good guy back then as well. It sucks the type of career his injuries robbed him of.

I always feel that he and Grant Hill would be HOFers if not for the injuries. Very similar career paths and type of players.

Grant Hill will be a hall of famer.

I had Penny's shoes back in 93 or 94. They only had a size that was a bit too big but I made it work.

I had the Air Max Penny 1's, I think back around 95 or so. weird seeing all the shoes from back then popping up now.

Same here (the black one with the pinstripes). I saved up my allowance for awhile to get a Barkley (Suns, purple) but decided on Penny at the last minute.
I wanted these shoes so bad in middle school.

Not if it was just the NBA hall of fame, but it is the basketball hall of fame and he was pretty damn good in college. Add that to what he did do in the pros and I say he is in. Does he also have any gold medals? That helps also.

One of the best talents to ever play in the NBA. Still makes me sick how his body betrayed him.

I had the same jersey as my first. Also had the shoes above. Outside of Griffey Jr., Penny was my favorite athlete growing up as a kid. I begged and begged for a Lil Penny doll but mom never could find one. Why couldn't we have the internet capability back then that we do now?

shite I may look for one now for the child in me.
