I'll never blame a kid for wanting to make his dreams come true. He deserves this. He absolutely dominated to end the season. I can't wait to watch him in the NBA.

Agree
He's not out of the woods yet, though. He needs to absolutely bust his arse between now and the NBA draft. I personally think he'll move up and go somewhere in the 20-25 range.
But, if he somehow doesn't show well and falls into the 2nd round, this could be a disastrous decision for him. I hope he works hard, gets himself into the best shape of his life, and goes 100% in these camps and workouts.

His father said if the feedback they receive from NBA is not favorable he will return to school. Based on expert opinion the feedback is not going to be favorable.

Jerell really improved his game from last season to this season. He absolutely deserves to go pro and I think this is the right move for the kid. Best of luck to him. Hope the Pels pick him.

According to some posts on here, the word is (from a teammate) Mickey has already cleaned out his locker and missed a post season team meeting. That doesn't sound like someone who plans on playing next year.

I honestly believe he is making a better decision leaving this year as a late first round pick rather than returning and being and potentially being a lottery. Martin is a great kid and has all the talent in the world, but I don't believe he has it in him to take over a game and win it late. Seems to shy away from that moment. Being a late pick, he can immediately go to a contender and continue to develop while being protected by veterans. It will be a few years before we hear his name consistently, but I think he will be a good one at some point.
