seriously though. So many people from lab, chackbay, vachiere that would utilize it. And why were talking about stores. How about that bullshite between wal mart and rouses going on in the courts over the potential store on Percy brown

I actually think there are talks to build one in Thibodaux. Which is weird because I wouldn't thing Thibodaux could support one. Of course, if be sure to do my part!

The manager at Academy told me they do 60-80k a day on weekdays and 150-250k on weekends.

With the area around nicholls getting as busy as it is rouses decided that that little store is not big enough. It's pretty outdated. They bought that lot next to McDonalds across the street. Planned on building a brand new store. At the same time. Wal mart purchases a lot on Percy brown and wants to build a neighborhood market. Rouses refuses to build a new store with a wal mart that close. I believe rouses is suing wal mart. I could be wrong. I know there is a small grass roots campaign against wal mart.

You're sort of right. Rouses' beef (pun intended) is with Ronald Adams whom they purchased the land from. From what I understand, rouses basically said they would buy it if RA didn't sell any other land in that area to another store to develop. The parcel at the corner of 1 and Percy brown was left out of the agreement and "understood" to be being used to build a house (for RA or a relative or something). Then RA turns around and says no house, we'll sell this land to wal mart instead.

There's nothing to explain, just drive through the area and you will see.

Take a chill pill, brah. But Chackbay isn't that bad. It's just a road going through it so it's hard to call it a town. It's more of a settlement.

man that's a mess if true. I cant blame RA for wanting to cash in on his land but to give his word to Rousses he wouldn't sell to another store after he takes Rouses money is kind of messed up. Walmart is easy to hate though.

Sad part is he can sell that property to any person/company he wants. That tract of land has no restrictions.
