31.5 miles from the launch in Biloxi to the tip. U can camp there is you want but why not just stay on the Pelican or something.

caught what I believe to be a world record mullet off of Breton Island while Speck fishing in the surf. (this was a long time ago).

We did it last year. Had an absolute blast. Going again this year.

EDIT::: as far as walking around in the dunes. You need to watch the baby birds and eggs. They are everywhere. This is a very fragile ecosystem and very special. no hippie here, just in awe of the island. it's amazing, or what's left of it.
