In their pleadings challenging the jurisdiction of the Texas court the Tiger's lawyers came up with this gem to illustrate why the case should not have been filed in Texas. "Notwithstanding the Aggie's dire need for defensive help, Chavis could have defected to any college or professional team in any state or even a foreign country".

I've only seen one recent article on the situation, it don't say much, but it does say LSU is arguing jurisdiction

There is a story about this on The Advocate's web site. Maybe someone can pull up the link.

just read pleading. well drafted. LSU hired some big hitters in Austin. Wallace Jefferson is former Chief Justice of Supreme Court of Texas. Its especially great that an aggie alum signed the pleading.

The dude is such a piece of shite for battling it out over this money. It would be one thing if LSU had wronged him, but he's the one who took a job with a divisional rival before the end of his contract was up, particularly in the context of doing so right before a bowl game. Whatever disagreements he had with Alleva, Miles, et al, do not preclude one from acting like an adult. frick him.

now everyone knows why he included aTm in his suit. It seems as though that was done to help get the venue in Texas.

Which Tiger hired the lawyers? Or were you talking about the Tigers' lawyers?

In either case, I hope the lawyers didn't make this error...

"Notwithstanding the Aggie's dire need for defensive help"

Unless there was only one Aggie in dire need of defensive help.
