Currently have a trip planned to Belgium in July and trying to plan where to eat. Mainly to make reservations and what not and I like to know what is going on.....

Anyway we arrive on Sunday June 28 at 1pm so I would be looking at dinner spots unless we eat at the hotel cafe...

we will be in Belgium from June 28 till July 12 and we have a day trip to Bruge, Antwerp, Ghent, and Liege planned along with a 3 day trip to both Paris and Luxenbourg.

Anything we need to see or eat? I've looked at a few resturants via tripadvisor and I have Tonton Gaby and Le Temps Danse on my agenda along with Le Wine Bar du Sablon des Marolles

Wife and I were going to Belgium but had to cancel at the last minute. I did a ton of research and came up with these places in Bruges, Ghent and Leuven. Don't have anything on Brussels because we were just flying in and out. If you're interested I can send you all of my notes on these three cities but it sounds like you won't be spending much time in them.

Bruges

Dinner: Park / Reliva
Lunch: Curiosa, Brasserie Medard, Bistro de Schilder, Café Terrastje
Waffles: Carpe Diem, Laurenzino
Chocolate: Depla Chocolatier, Chocolate Line ,
Fries: right in front of Belfry Tower
Bars:
Le Trappist
T' Brugsch Bieratelier
Bierbrasserie Cambrinus

Ghent
Simon Says - coffee shop
Pakhuis - lunch
Mosquito Coast - lunch
Yuzu – chocolate
Temmerman – candy store
Max - waffles

Drink:
Gruut Brewery
Het Weterheus
Galgenhuiseje

Leuven

Bars:
Domus Brewery
Den Boule
Libertad
de blauwe kater
The Capital - 2000 different types of beer (mainly Belgian)

Mangia e Via & Pizzeria La Vecchia Napoli
Mas que nada - food from different parts of the world
la cucharacca - mexican

I'd check out a Waffle House. Just because.

I've eaten here and its a good, casual spot. If you get a chance and want a strange experience, go have a beer at Velootje It's owned by an old eccentric hoarder. The bar is full of old bicycles (Its known as the bicycle bar which is what Velootje means....I think.) And there is a lot of other junk sitting around. The first time I went in 2000 or so, I had to push some old lamps out of the way to sit down. The second time, in 2007, My wife and I were the only ones there and so we sat outside with the owner talking. At one point he took me inside and sat me in front of a 1991 era computer and had me write a review of his place online.

We usually dont seek out good food but good beer instead.
