How have I not heard of Tania Head until now?

Her story is unreal.

There's also a documentary on Netflix called "The Woman That Wasn't There" that is worth a look.

They should have suspected something when she listed her spouse as Richard Head.

Definitely. I feel like if she had started her charade 5-10 years laters, she would've been exposed from the get go. Social media was definitely more advanced in 2012 than in 2007.
