Well you had jones as top 20 yes?

So you are saying bryant > jones in a keeper league and then assume Moss swings the deal? Cmon big lou

Jones is a nice starting point. Even if you assume jones and bryant are equal, there needs to be a nicer kicker to coerce the Bryant owner to give him up imo. And I'm not sure that is just Tigerdroppings value talking

Adam jones is less valuable in OBP leagues.

Burrell averaged 29 HRs for an 8 year stretch. I think the Cubs would take that.

I think his upside is higher than Burrell's though.

Moss is a pretty decent piece for an owner whose only 3 rostered OF are Myers, Holliday, & Blackmon & whose only bench bats are guys not starting the season on MLB rosters. I didn't expect an accept; I just don't view it as a laughable trade offer, especially when contextualized with most of the offers I receive.

Not enough to worry about

I could get into different positional standard deviation calculations, but I don't have time today.

He was 46th in AVG & 44th in OPS among qualified hitters in 2014.

And in the end, jones and Bryant are the two being kept. Give that man two keepers at least

He wasn't knocking Bryant.
I remember Burrell being a big, strong dude who struck out a lot.

How about offering Rendon for Bryant straight up in a 12T 10K H2H OBP league...?

In the dynasty league I look at it like what would Bryant fetch if the Cubs traded him, it would be a lot.

More than Jones and Moss.

I would take Bryant over Rendon. I figured he was closer to a sub 10 SB guy even before the knee injury, and that knee injury is worrisome for both HR & SB. Bryant could very well be getting MLB ABs before Rendon in 2015.

about his opinion of Bryant. He said he reminds him of Pat Burrell.

Not really a relevant comparison. Burrell was pull power. Bryant has power to all fields and hits a ton of his homeruns from center field to the RF foul pole. I think Bryant's ceiling is higher than what Burrell did as a major leaguer. Burrell had a career BA of .253. I expect Bryant to hit for a better average than that given his ability and willingness to hit the ball to right field.

As far as numbers? Burrell averaged 29 and 96. Sure, they could be comparable in those categories by the end of their careers, but their approaches really don't have much of anything in common.
