Ever read those religious tracts you find in public? They're pretty entertaining

Every now and then I'll come across one in public, usually in a bathroom or something. They're baptist tracts, little booklets, from a guy named Jack Chick-usually about topics such as demons, hell, halloween, muslims, catholics, drugs, and the like, for the purpose of converting people. The art is actually pretty good. Here's an example:

Link to the site with all of them

The hell with all the image link addresses?

Good fix.

The devil has a pretty messed up face in that comic.

Must be a Louisiana thing. Don't see Baptist tracks in bathrooms here.

My grandmother loved to give those in her Sunday school class. I remember one that implied people who believed in evolution were usually Nazis

That is a great tract and should be a sobering reminder for many on this board. These were based on true stories

This Was Your Life is Jack Chick's masterpiece IMHO

There's a documentary about him out there if you can find it

Never seen a Jack Chick comic in person. But Tulane had a humor magazine called the BrouHaHa in the 1990s. They published a few of the originals and then their own parodies with the words changed. Some brilliant work

Wait staff love getting these in lieu of a tip. It shows the customer really cares about them

I haven't seen anything like that since the 70's. Lady down the street had her son give me an anti-hippie one that explained how the popular haircut in Jesus' day was the "Ceasar" cut. How big a hypocrite do you have to be to make that up when long hair and beards become popular. They have similar propaganda in countries where Muslim groups are trying to gain control.

Reminds me of the early 2000s LSU free speech ally and the bible thumpers. Once was told I was going to hell for wearing cargo shorts. I miss those days, we just don't get that quality of crazy around lsu anymore.
