Everyone should consider going out to vote April 13th 2015 for the legalization of marijuana in louisiana. Don't have a link to post for details but this opportunity has potential.

Haven't heard one thing about this, and yet you have no link. Imagine that

Colorado weed smokers are different than Louisiana weed smokers.

Hell no. It's bad enough I have to dodge drinkers when I go out. I don't want to have to worry about friggin' pot heads too.

My submission was for awareness. If you actually care about the issue then you will do your part and look up the details for yourselves regardless is there is a link posted.

Won't happen for 15 years.

I hate to burst your bubble, but here's what going to happen...
Call or write your legislator all you want, but know that the Sheriff's Association and the DAs Association will be against this and this bill will be lucky to get out of committee.
It will receive less than 30 votes if it ever makes it to the House floor.

The legislative session begins on April 13.
To OP: Your state legislature (considering it is probably ~85% conservative) will most likely not let the bill make it to the House or Senate floor. I also noticed that odd number years in Louisiana are fiscal sessions, which is actually a fairly good start for a bill like this. But, I suspect this has happened before as well. Only thing you can personally do is find a marijuana advocacy group that will most likely be meeting at the Capitol and join in as an activist. Sorry m8

I hope this passes so I'll finally be able to smoke weed in Louisiana.

At least. Besides, the proposed bill is so restrictive that only a handful of patients would qualify.

Under the proposed law, only certain doctors would be allowed to prescribe marijuana.
LA won't even decriminalize the stuff.

Don't know for a fact but heard off the 5 o'clock news that it's a popular vote. The majority has concluded that the senate does not accurately represent the mass opinion of the people so they have pushed it to a popular vote instead of a senate vote.

It is a prefiled State House Bill, specifically HB6.
