Good pick up on that one.

SPOILERS BELOW

I am really curious what direction they will go next season. Is it going to be about the fall of those three. Also, I really enjoyed this show because it made you feel for all of the characters. Even Danny, sometimes I hated him and sometimes I actually liked him. The craziest part was how you became ok with the killing of Danny. That's some pretty strong character development IMO.

If that bothers you, don't watch The Wire

The entire first season is premised on this. It's not really a big spoiler.

I´m two episodes in, and this shite had better pick up (I´m not convinced, but enough to not let it go yet)!

Just finished it. Thought it was good, not great.

I read an article about the show before watching it that pointed out something that I completely agree with: it was as if the writers forgot this was a Netflix show and not a week-to-week show. They kept repeating the same themes and scenes at the end and beginning of each episode.

I´ve got through the third, and I´m more interested.

The writing is not brilliant, and the acting average at best, but all in all, I´m still interested.

Chlöe Sevigny surprised the hell out of me (she must really need work).

Yeah one minute he's cool and you feel for the guy and then he does some dbag shite and you're wanting them to take his arse out already. Although I wasn't expecting him to be killed like that. I was thinking damn surely he's going to let him up.

I didn't like Kevin at first but he turns out cool. Really wish they had used another mom besides Sissy Spacek. She's too whiney and she's too much drama.

Anyway I thoroughly enjoyed the first season.

The acting is the strongest part of the show. If it picks up some steam, Ben Mendelsohn should and will be nominated for a Supporting Emmy.

I thought it was good, not great too. The acting is really good. Story is slow first 6-7eps but picks up.

It became repetitive though. Danny does something dumb. Then wins them over again. Then something dumb. Threatens Meg. John is conflicted. Kevin's drinking another beer. Sally is naive.

Spoilers

As a cop wouldn't john know that an autopsy would show Danny died of drowning even tho he burned the body ? Seems like that could still come back on him. I think there are some big holes in his cover up

They'll submit Ben Mendelsohn for lead actor.

I think that retired cop will keep snooping around and figure out what happened.

He has no chance at lead so they could easily submit in supporting.

But he's not a supporting actor. He was the lead of the season.

No he wasn't. Kyle Chandler was the lead. He was first billed in the credits and he is the only one on the artwork. They could submit both for lead but it is more likely (especially since Chandler has already won a Lead Emmy) that they submit Chandler as lead and Mendelsohn as Supporting.

Kyle Chandler was first billed and the face of marketing because he's Kyle Chandler; Ben Mendelsohn was the lead.
