Anyone know or have any pull with an app design company? I have a great idea for an app that's not not on the market that everyone would use but need help getting through the front door at some good companies.

I hate giving this advice away for free but you are a fellow TD'er.....use fiverr to start it up for pennies on the dollar.

I've heard this a thousand times... Depends on the type of app. Are you talking mobile native (iPhone, Android etc.)? If so there are specialists in those platforms. If its a web app or business app there are experts in those areas. Without divulging your billion dollar idea I would need a little more info to point you to a company.

BTW, one of the apps we are doing now, the guy said the same thing. We found his app had already been done before. He's still moving forward with it though.

Whoever you choose, don't get tied down into "first mover" fallacy. Google came along way after Yahoo and several others.

Not a baseball app. It's a restaurant app that helps both the restaurant and consumer. Can't really say more but it hasn't been done. There are apps where you can make reservations, get discounts, reviews.....mine will do one major add on to these and lose the reviews. It involves push notifications.
