Football, yes...
I enjoy the other sports, but football is king in the south, so my emotions are in it to the max...

When you become an adult, losses have less of an impact.

Those kids deserve better with the talent here. They just never jelled. To many moving parts that are not in sync. I new with about 4 minutes left they were spent and we would lose. I turned the tv off and went outside to vent my anger and frustration.. I tossed and turned all night and I am still bummed out because we had sweet 16 talent in this team.

You are definitely not the only one. I was out of control with it when I was younger.

Don't know how old you are but if you're young I would suggest that it will level out a bit. I'm 48 now with a son and daughter, 14 and 17. Age and children definitely mellowed me. There really are more important things in life.

Now come game time I'm still extremely wound up, especially for football. I've gotten pretty good though at turning it off during the week and not getting crazy with anticipation. Hell, I literally used to start counting down the days to football season in March!! Have not done that in quite some time now.

So if you're still a youngster, I would say don't worry too much yet. It'll most likely level off for you. If you're already my age with kids... Not sure what tell you.

Honestly, I haven't been very emotionally invested in any LSU sports since 1/9. Sure I still get excited, and I look forward to games, but I was upset for weeks after that debacle. I just can't go all in anymore.

Nice contribution a-hole. It's a message board and a perfectly legit issue for a lot of the fans on here. Why don't YOU grow the frick up?

It was actually sound advice. You made his point even more valid.

It never goes away once it gets in. Football and Basketball are what I'm financially and emotionally invested in. It just affects me for less time than in years past. I was gut punched last night for an hour. Then my thoughts changed to reasonable expectations of this team with all of the past collapses this year it became palpable and accepted. Bring on Football.

I used to be depressed for days when our Tigers would lay an egg- but a couple of years ago tragedy struck in my home and I realized what was important

Sports is entertainment- nothing more- It is like gambling- only gamble the emotions you can afford and do not go over board.

Players are given 24 hours to process a win or loss and move on to the next game- Fans need to learn to do the same thing

If you can't then walk away for a while.

Remember the people in your life that are important they deserve your all- not sports

I used to care...now I just sit back and laugh how similar LSU football, baseball, and basketball are in the last 3 years or so.

I want them to win every game, but not surprised when they lose.

You're perfectly normal. Its called passion. I'm the same way and wife hates it when I watch LSU sports....any LSU sport.
I have a tendency to wreck shite when we underperform. Don't mind losing a hard fought game in any sport.....but here lately we've been pissing away waaaaaayyy too many games in both basketball and football.
As more than a casual fan, its painful to watch a team you love choke over and over again.
I know LSU is not the only team that does this, but god dam it sure seems like it lately!!! :banghead:

Nah, you are not the only one. I was trying to forget about this game and get some sleep afterward last night kept thinking about how bad a loss this was. Couldn't help it. My logic is that LSU sports are more than just watching a sporting event. It is the pride that LSU brings to our unique state and our culture. Bottom line is that the outcome of an LSU game on a big stage and on national TV matters so much to us because we love our state, our culture and our people and that is what LSU represents. We'll live to fight another day!
