With the way poche got rocked tonight we will need Latz picking up weekend starts soon.

Getting behind + leaving a 86-88 mph fastball over the plate wont get you many friday night wins in the SEC

Likely he won't pitch at all this year. Might be available for the postseason or a little before postseason

Hate to be the barer of bad news but there will be a game this season where Lange "gets rocked", you are overreacting.

Latz won't be ready to pitch in big games until Hoover.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Lange take the Friday night role.

I've heard 4 weeks... but two different ways. He either won't be on a mound at all for 4 weeks or he won't be on a game mound for 4 weeks. The quote wasn't clear and I've seen some people take it one way or the other.

ETA: when the quote came out it was 5 weeks. 4 weeks is from today

Not saying Lange wont have a bad night soon. Not saying Poche will never pitch good again but he looked terrible tonight. Maybe its just me but the last two or three outings he has look less than avg.....then again I could just be overreacting to this loss and the basketball loss.

We need a lefty in the bullpen as soon as possible. We only have 3. Bouman, Devall, and Person.

Might as well only be 2.

Only Person has been reliable.

Redshirting him would be utterly meaningless.

Yep. Likely gone in 3. Use him if he's healthy.

Devall has been decent.

He took a big step back from last year, IMO. His last two outings have been bad.

And if he's not, then he won't play.

Never said he would stay any longer if he is redshirted but I don't think he pitches this year. If he is 100% healthy you most definitely use him. You don't risk his future if the kid isn't 100%.

I agree. I'm just going with the timeline PM gave. If they stick to it, he will play.
