I was there as well. Truly a moment of pure bliss and happiness, that's for sure.

Can that NFC Championship game and Superbowl ever be topped? I don't think its possible.

Absolute euphoria. I get chills thinking about it.

I was at the game. It was the moment I looked around the section and everyone, literally everyone was crying with joy

I think you have to throw the parade in there, too.

And the answer is no, but it'll be interesting if the Cubs ever win the WS...

I was on a balcony on Bourbon having a smoke or 50. Saw the pick 6 through the window (friend had a big screen setup). The roar through the area is hardly describable. A cross between a train and a jet engine plane landing.

Thunderous.

Walked down decatur after the game, like an hour after. It was a slow roll of cars parading and high fiving the walkers by. Racism did not exist at all that night.

In a bar in the Quarter.....a moment I will never forget. Couldn't get out of the city because every street was blocked with people partying in the streets.

On our way back from Miami we roll up to the turnpike between Miami and Orlando to bumper to bumper traffic. As we get closer we see car doors open and people hanging out of windows and standing on the interstate. Then we hear the music. The interstate was literally shutdown With Saints fans dancing and blaring stand up. It was absolutely surreal.

I was back home in New Orleans for that game. NO place I would be other than New Orleans for such an event.
We were in Deanie's and the entire place left the floor simultaneously in a jump for joy. People were just hugging one another no matter who. The best sports moment for me, no doubt.
The only thing to make that night better is for the team to win one in New Orleans. That would be the party that never ends.

I was in my neighbors man cave with all the neighbors. I threw my beer in the air, started screaming and ran outside jumping like a lunatic. They loved it and I proceeded to drink more beer than I ever thought I could consume.

I was at the game. I remember the trip very vividly, except for the majority of the game. Before we head over to Sun Life Stadium, we ate at this place called Shuck n' Dive, where Bobby was doing his pregame show. The owner of the place is from Louisiana and actually got a special order of crawfish delived from BR over night for gameday.

Our seats were in the upper deck with other season ticket holders. Amazing moment from the start with the fly over right above our heads. It was surprisingly cold too. Saints fans outnumbered the Colts fans easily. I missed the onside kick because I watched some of The Who, before going to the bathroom. Ran to my seat as the stadium erupted. Made sure not to move after that.

Second half is a blur because it slowly started to sink in that we really might win the Super Bowl. As most mentioned, when it happened, it was nothing but tears and hugs all around. They showed live feed of Bourbon St, where all of my friends were celebrating. It was an amazing sight. We tried to go to South Beach after the game, but the stadium is not even close to there and traffic was insane. Wound up going back to the hotel and watched highlights and coverage for about 3 hours until we had to drive to the airport, where we would finally get a little bit of rest. I'm so happy to say I was a part of that glorious weekend in Miami. Something that can never be duplicated.

We watched it at Acme in the quarter. There was a private party upstairs and about midway through the 2nd quarter Morten Anderson came down and watched it for a few minutes. My 2 favorite memories of that night were this tourist couple getting all aggravated because it was loud and crowded. Then the entire 4th quarter I don't think a single person was doing anything but watching the game. Waiters, cooks, shuckers, bartenders, the managers..... It was easily a top 3 memory of my life.

This is so true and the same can be said for the SB parade. New Orleans isn't very racist compared to other cities in the south but there is a big segregation of class. And those two days it didn't matter at all. Rich and poor were side by side experiencing the same emotions.

2nd day I've teared up reading this thread.

I was also at the House of Blues, great time, so awesome to be in the city for that. Total strangers were jumping up and down and hugging each other, crazy night.
