With everyone having a camera phone these days, are the days of getting a single athlete/celebrity's autograph gone?

I could see having an entire team on a baseball/football/etc... But what would a signature from Brad Pitt prove?

Thoughts?

I have no idea what your premise is.

I hope so. I'm teaching my kids that it's stupid to ask for autographs.

Photos can be shopped. If I see a celebrity I pull out a sharpie and get an autograph on my chest. Right peck for an actor/musician, left peck for an athlete (unless they're eating, you never bother someone when they're eating).

I don't think so. My parents live next door to an NFL player, and plenty of people still ask for his autograph.

I know that people still do it, but I feel like it's waning for sure.

It's almost like society has conditioned us to think that that's what we're supposed to do...?

Even as a kid I never understood the interrupting someone for an autograph idea. Back then I knew I would just put it somewhere then forget all about it, now I just consider it to be extremely rude.

Yes. It's not terribly clear, really.

Probably. I haven't really had a lot of first hand experience with being a middleman for celebrity autographs, so I'm likely off base

Not as long as there are children. As adults the concept seems a little odd, getting another adult to write his name on something for you to keep. But for a little kid who watches his favorite team on TV, a chance to get an autograph probably means the world to him.

I have never understood either. I know I'm in the minority here, but I don't give a shite if I see a celebrity. I certainly don't feel the need to prove it to others that I saw one.

Probably, these millennials don't know how to write in cursive.
