2 episodes in and I'm digging it... Is it pretty solid throughout?

It gets a lot better by the end of season 1 and season 2 + 3 are great but after that I felt there were too many celebrity cameos that didn't really make sense.

It's solid. Lots of randomness, think Manatees i.e. family guy. Characters are great though. Parks was better, but 30 is a very good show overall.

Not nearly as good as Parks and Rec, and just like it the main character is the worst part of the show.
I may be a little too harsh on it but I've given the show a couple tries and it just doesn't stick with me.

^^^ All of this. Some great creative episodes in the middle of the run. High quality throw-away lines and a few recurring gags.

OP, the goat episode is a two parter with Michael Keaton and a gas leak in the building.
It had run it's course though, the Elizabeth Banks and North Korea stuff was especially pointless.

30 Rock will always be one of my favorite comedies. Jack Donaghy is an all time great character.

No just saying I enjoyed Liz Lemon and Leslie Knope the least on their respective shows. Jack And Ron Swanson are the best characters on either show IMO...does that make me sexist? ...damn

Solid until the end but the last season has a few clunkers.

I thought the last season they picked it back up, 2nd to last was pretty meh.
30 Rock has such a great re-watch ability factor, due to jokes you just missed and its delivery in general.
