Looking at Livingston Parish objectively, it trumps all other parishes in terms of culture, livability and the American way.

The people there stand tall and are proud of who they are despite Louisiana seemingly collapsing around them on every side. In a land turning blue, they are a shining red light.

Nothing is out of reach from this parish. The city of Baton Rouge, though derelict and brimming with slipshod hooligans remiss of common decency, is but a stone's throw away. Fun can be had at the fabulous and slightly precarious Perkin's Rowe. Movies can be watched. Books read. Pizza eaten. Malls are there for the mere enjoyment of their existence.

New Orleans? No problem, just hope in the ole' Chevy and skit-skat on down there for a nice family venture. Want your car stolen for kicks? Hammond is right around the corner. Want to feel important and get a taste of what it means to be a yuppy…live the high life, Prairieville is as the crow flies.

Livingston Parish is safe. They take care of their own. They watch each other’s backs. They share in neighborly apple pie. Exchange cheese cake on Sundays. In comparison, the lands surrounding this great parish are simply filled with a hazardous cesspool of evil doers reveling in a cacophonous boom of immorality.

They are patriots. They love this county, not as it is, but as it SHOULD BE. Free.

And finally, without Livingston Parish, Louisiana school scores would drop across the board. We should all the thankful for that. In summation, Livingston Parish is the greatest parish in Louisiana.

What’s not to like?

TL;DR – Livingston Parish >>> All of the Parishes

What's not to like?

The fricked up parish roads that haven't been touched in years because the council is full of POSes

That's better than getting jumped, shot, and robbed going to a gas station or simply checking the mail.

The fact you can say "that guy" and everyone knows who you are talking about is proof of my claims.

Murdered folk in BR and the surrounding cities can only be referred to by numbers.

Besides, the person who shot him was probably passing through from one of these outside places of refuse.

I know plenty of people from that area, and I only find a few of them above average intelligence. It's just a fewer number of crappy scores that brings their average test scores up. If we removed the scores from North Baton Rouge schools......

Example:
EBR 1 + 2 + 2 + 7 + 13 averages to 5
LP 4 + 4 + 5 + 6 + 6 also averages to 5

Truly, if only Walter White knew of the fine environment the LP can provide, he may yet be alive and sporting stylish purple and gold camouflage.
