Black mold, killer bees, zombies..
We would construct a barrier around the state and would not help. What could be so bad?

If not for the Auburn fans in the state, Alabama would have already been bordered off.

If all it's citizens decide to start threads like this, I could see the US doing it.

texas Gov Perry and the state legislature announce they are leaving the union.

They get to keep all the armament within their state. Ft Hood, air force, coast guard. the people in those bases who choose to remain USA citizens get free rides to the USA.
All Texas born people in the USA have 90 days dual citizenship and then they have to make the choice.

Children born in the state have dual citizenship. They have to decide when they are 18.
Any people residing within the state who are not texas born have 1 year to declare.

I'd say Mississippi would just have to stay on its current course.

A couple of posters beat me to it.
I was going on and on with details, while simple wins the day.

That's already been tried once and it didn't work out too well.

I'd gladly lend my services to the fledgling Confederate Tank Corps.
