Very cool. Is there any way to predict when they will happen?

Depends on the size of your boat and how many snow machines you have.

I knew the OP as soon as I saw the title.
You must have the most freedom on this board.

This thought has crossed my mind. It's mind blowing as it is.

Eh, people discuss truck repairs, beer, country music etc here. I think outdoor photography, particularly Aurora images are definitely OB material.

There's a place just northeast of Fairbanks that's the perfect location IMO. Chena Hot Springs Resort. Clear skies in winter, hot springs, sleigh rides/dog sleds, ice bar. I'm really wanting to take the mrs next winter. Magical place.

I think he meant the most freedom in your life as opposed to us lower 48ers. Awesome pics. I'm still working on Mrs Demon, trying to get her to commit to moving up there.

Ah, gotcha. My bad. Internet is above my head sometimes.

Took two years to convince my first wife. She ended up moving back to La but wants to get back here badly. She's coming up this summer to look for a job in nursing.

The freedom here is unparalleled. So much wild, public land to explore and do what you want. Just wish I had grown up here and spent all my years doing what I am doing.

I really want my new camera back..

Two weeks after I got it, I went curling and while on the lake fell flat on my back and broke it. It's been in for repairs since the first of Jan. It also busted my best lens.
