I am working out of Boston this week. Need to know if there are any LSU bars in town I can watch the Basketball Game at?

The Baseball Tavern on Boylston street is listed as an LSU bar...just google 'where to watch lsu games around the world' and you can view the list

There is a place close to Fenway where lsu fans watch. I think that's the name.

The Baseball Tavern is definitely the place and it's a block from Fenway. We usually have a strong turnout for LSU football games and it is sort of the "headquarters" of the Alumni Association. So I assume they'll be a decent crowd on Thursday, but since we haven't been in the NCAAs in a while, I don't have any comparable events to judge.
Weather notwithstanding, I hope you enjoy your visit here!

Where specifically? Are you right in Boston or out in the burbs?

I am staying right by Fenway so I will make my way over there.

Baseball tavern is your best bet. There is nothing officially going on with the alumni group, but my guess is that people will show up because it's the default place. I might even ride in from the burbs.

On a side note, I am am visiting Boston for Easter and was wondering if the Celtic games was something worth doing. Seems I can get tickets upstairs on Friday night at a good price whereas the Bruins tickets are much more expensive. Any thoughts?

I'll be there, live right across the street. $2.50 Bud Heavys all day every day!

Suddenly Celtics games have gotten a lot more interesting. About 6 weeks ago I would have told you not to bother because it looked like the C's were going to tank. But after all of the trades they made this year, the team they have is starting to click and they're in the hunt for a playoff spot in the
East (which I'll admit isn't saying much). People are back into it and even though there's been the drop off from the Big 3 era, the place is still pretty packed and lively.
This a huge hockey town (HS Hockey is bigger than Football) so the Bruins have a very dedicated fan base. (thus the expense) The other thing about Bruins fans is that the Average Joe still goes to their games and so the crowd is very much into it (even tho they're barely holding on to a playoff spot). If you've never seen an NHL game before, it's worth it, especially in a market where they really know the game. IMHO, it's the best of the major sports to see live. If you've been to an NHL game before, that I would go with the cheaper option, but I love hoops and I'm an ex New Orleanian who doesn't appreciate (or understand) hockey in the same way.
