If LSU goes one and done this year and next, is his seat.....
Doesn't change
Gone
Hot
Very hot possibly mid season fire the following year.

Why would this matter now?

no change.
why post this stupid hypothetical?
Yeah, lets fire a coach after back to back tourney appearances while inheriting a program in shambles with no talent
lol..........you idiots.......

Don't see how
Record improved each year, and tourney in year 3...think a bought himself a couple of years with the steady improvement the team made over the last 3 seasons

Ah the overused "hot seat" cliche'…..can't wait to see if it is warm, or warming up, or hot.
Is there such thing as a "hot seat" in the real world? Provide examples. Why would a coach continue to sit in a seat if it was hot? That doesn't make sense does it? Or for that matter, why would anyone sit on a seat that is hot?
So when a coach is on a "hot seat", does that make him jump up and say "ooooh that hurts…damn!" and he starts coaching better??

He wouldn't get fired but the fanbase would be ridiculously disappointed next season if we went 1 and done. We should at worst be a 4 or 5 seed with the talent (and experience) we'll have on board.

Wow, you think Jones is even remotely close to the hot seat?
eta: Oh, back-to-back one and done's...he still wouldn't be on the hotseat, no. However, he'd lose a ton of fan support

Thats kind of the point..losing fan base puts us back to the end of Brady and Johnson. With the talent next season and possible wasted talent this year, Alleva has to see the problem is coaching.

Just remember, Johnny has a lot of friends, and one of them LSU officials seem to be a bit scared of.

Doesn't change. A bit. Wouldn't have changed if we were left out of the tourny this year. The recruiting class he put together for next year is a work of art. And regardless of this years outcome he will get a chance to coach them. And probably go to the Elite 8 at worst.

Jones will never be on the host seat as long as LSU continues to be a consistent tournament team with the occasional Sweet 16/Elite 8 run. Hell, Georgetown hasn't even been able to fire John Thompson despite his choking in the tournament.
Unless Alleva can pull the "happy wife is a happy life" card on Tony Bennett's BR native wife, I'm cool with being a consistent tournament team that's fun to watch

why don't you wait to see who is healthy and who goes pro before you claim there is experience and talent.
"at worst"? so you really think top 15 in the nation, huh?
4 seeds are 16 thru 19 in the land.

Next year? Yes
And no, while his in game coaching is disappointing, he's clearly got the program heading in the right direction.
His seat is not hot at all

um..........
He is the first coach to go to post season tournament in 2 of first 3 years.
He has the best record after 3 years of any LSU coach.
He has one of the best incoming recruiting classes in the nation.
He just got a raise and extension before the year.
His seat is not hot at all. He basically hit expectations this year. Could have been better, but most people hoped for 22-23 wins with 11 SEC wins. Exactly what he got. Next year would be a disappointment, but many great teams have been disappointed.

Exactly, there's so many more dynamics than just "back-to-back one and done's"
-Will Mickey and/or Martin be back next season
-Is Malik Newman on the roster?
-what seed were we in that second loss?
-injuries?
-did the team's chemistry, drive, and fundamentals improve over the course of next year?
