Just thought this was interesting. When we win the SEC we are only 1-7 teams higher up in the pecking order. I don't know the full resumes of the teams (RPI's, SOS, etc.) but it goes to show either how much better the SEC has gotten, or how 2009 had a much better field than 2015.

Tigers got a very poor seed in 2009.Guesss f they had a self promoter like Bruce Pearl as coach it may have been different. Instead we had the cigar store Indian at the helm.

It goes to show you what happens when you beat good teams. The 2009 team beat no one worth a damn that year

We got screwed in 2009 with seeding. This year I LOVE our draw. Think Elite Eight is a real possibility!

LSU was 6-1 against NCAAT teams this year. Not sure about 2009, would have to look up.

1 UK: loss
5 WVU: win
5 ARK: win
10 UGA: win
11 UM: win win
14 UAB: win

That 2009 team was really good we would have been an elite or final four team in any other part of the bracket.

The SEC was pretty down in 2009, but a #8 seed for that team was garbage. I remember the UNC boards being pissed they had to match up against LSU in the round of 32.

Heck, their head coach was complaining on national tv before and after the game.
