Neither team fouled at the end of regulation. Had they done so, they both would have won.

Charles Barkley said, before the Spurs had a chance to foul, that he could not for the life of him understand why coaches don't foul.

DO NOT GIVE THE TEAM A THREE POINT SHOT. FOUL AND GIVE THEM TWO FREE THROWS INSTEAD.

Stupid. Stupid. Stupid.

People are bitching about everything else but this was the key.. Doesn't make sense.

But in a close second is the not getting a shot off... AFTER A TIME OUT... with 6 seconds on the shot clock.

And then next is the missed free throws. Tough to win when you miss nearly half your free throws. Ridiculous.

Which game with the SAS is he referring to?

Probably doesn't matter and is a shitty comparison.

As a Spurs fan and LSU alum, I am appalled at this comparison.

LSU is led by quite possibly the worst coach in the conference, which has them in this situation.

SA has the best coach in the NBA, and is peaking at the right time.

I guess you found the one thing they have in common.

I wouldn't say the worst coach... Coaches certainly get a part of the blame in this, but he didn't miss all those free throws. And I can't possibly imagine he didn't let them know the shot clock was about to run out at the end of the second half.

The point is that even the best coach in game doesn't call for his team to foul instead of allowing a three point shot, and in the Spurs' game, they ALLOWED Irving, the hottest player on the court, so hot he would melt the sun hot, they let him shoot the fricking three.

Appalled? Really?
