Could be a good spot for him. Doubt theyd ask more than a 10 carries a game. Come on down

Better version of Shane Vereen. Would fit that role perfectly.

Free agent RB Reggie Bush left his visit with the Patriots without an offer. Ouch. There is still a chance Bush joins New England as a cheap replacement for the departed Shane Vereen, but it is not a great sign he left without even fielding an offer. It is possible Bush has overestimated his value coming off an injury-plagued and ineffective season. With C.J. Spiller now in New Orleans, Bush is the best passing-down back still available.

be a perfect fit

not a ton of carries, and he could spread out as a wr, and be effective catching ball out of rb position.

He should have come to Nola. I like Spiller as the better signing, but just for nostalgia it would have been awesome to have him back.

Hey maybe we still tale him on a cheap contract

Can he play in the defensive backfield?

Thats pretty surprising to me honestly. I figured the price point on him would be right up NEs alley

rest assured, Reggie's agent made it known the ball park Bush is looking for. it was those numbers that were turned down.
when the number is low enough, New England will take him.

Dude has to decide if its about the agent's 10% of X or playing an exciting brand of ball for champions.

I think this would be a good fit for both Bush and the Pats

Did you see that TD run against Dallas in the first round of the playoffs? I'm not sure how many other rb's in the league could replicate that run. Reggie is still a unique talent, unfortunately he is injury prone and undersized for his position. He should have been switched to wr at some point.

The Pats ask a lot more of their passing backs than a homerun play. Vereen may not have the same joystick moves as Bush, but he was a better check down option than bush is right now and could still give you solid 4-9 yard runs up the middle in no huddle situations. Vereen is still the better player right now, but obviously money is the real kicker here. I'd rather a fresh leg approach to the position than bush

Vereen has had his injury problems in his career the same as bush though. I hope he gets a good oppurtunity in NY. That's a crowded backfield
