I sold an old 360 that I kept having to do the trick about purposefully overheating it to get it to play for a few hours....
gave me a good bit of cash. pretty certain it got thrown out as well lol.

It's just part of "pennying out things". it's usually things they don't think they could sell and its not worth taking up space on a shelf. or some games that are too scratched up.
