Monty as coach is a real head scratcher. I've gone from "give him time" to "fire him now" twice and back again, I think.
Hell, in the end, it'll all come down to winning. All kidding aside, it's next season that will tell the tale, no matter what.

Talent helps everything. All the numbers, schemes, plays, whatever don't mean shite if you're running out scrubs.
The team has come together in a great way recently. Credit to front office, coaches, and players for that. And yet, I'm still very wary of Monty as a game/on court coach.
I'll say this, I've really enjoyed Monty's quotes in the Anderson piece and some of the Davis features we've seen. He seems to have a firm grasp on the beyond basketball stuff and that is most admirable.

People have really underestimated the effects of injuries on this team the last few years. This is the fist time we have had enough depth to overcome that. It's also the most complete roster Monty has had to work with. These are probably the two best SFs we have had since Ariza and they were both mid-season pickups.
It's funny what having a balanced roster can do.

one more year
I hope he gets it
As much flak as Monty has caught this year, he has this team right where people said they expected and wanted the team this year, fighting for a playoff spot.

Monty gets some deserved flak, but a good bit is not. The coaching staff needs changes, but I am fine with Monty's pros and cons.
