I think exclusives are important as I'm working off the assumption that we have at least one prior gaming platform. If the best games can be experienced on existing platforms, there's less incentive to update. Quality exclusives are the best reason to update especially if you already play games on a platform more powerful platform than PS3/360 (PC).

Many people buy 4K TVs too. Still doesn't mean there's a whole lot of content available. People just like shiny new things and good exclusives will come eventually. Holiday 2015 should be solid.

Come on man there are still good games you can only play on the Wii U, XBone or PS4. Plus the updated graphics, online play and features are enough incentive to update.
Record pace for ps4, already sold more than 20 million worldwide. That is faster than the ps2 even. Says enough.

I get that but we are getting good games even if they are on previous generation. Look at mordor, it runs on previous gen but runs like shite.

Oh, I don't care. It just cracks me up every time "Next Gen consoles" are up for debate, the poor Wii U gets left out of the conversation. If his criteria is worth while exclusives you can't get on PS3, XB360, or PC, the Wii U directly contradicts him.
