EJ Rock, Fleur De Lis, Zaunbrecher, CTN, Francez,

Looking at a new neighborhood in the Youngsville area and was needing some input.

I was going to build in a neighborhood near Johnson and Broussard before I moved to Texas and was told to avoid Fleur De Lis at all costs. Never heard of the others.

EDIT: Wife just said EJ Rock wasn't bad. The owner subcontracts to her father's concrete business.

What was the reasoning behind Fleur De Lis?

EJ rock is good, stay away from fleur de lis. It's louis Anzalone and he doesn't give a shite about quality. Zaunbrecher and ctn are good. Francez is the best out of those IMO. I'm a local realtor and have dealt with all of them. If you aren't committed to a realtor yet on the buying end I would be happy to interview for the job.

Make sure you do not go straight to the listing agent for any of the builders. They are representing the builders best interests and not yours. They will try and strong arm you if you go to the listing agent.

Thanks for the input. My wife has a realtor picked out, but I'll keep you in mind for sure.

Heritage home builders did ours, and no real complaints so far.

I've got a good friend who's been one of the top realtors down there for years, even when their economy was in the tank he was getting things done, super guy, also, why are you getting a realtor if you are going to build?

These builders are all building new houses in Cypress Gardens in Youngsville. It's a brand new subdivision.

The Anzalone family are known for cutting corners. Cousin bought a house built by them, basically the only thing they built that hasn't fallen apart is the frame.

I see, do they not have their own sales office on site?

ETA: a model open with a rep on site?

For the longest time I thought their signs by the curve on Chemin Metairie said Analzone, and I had an immature chuckle everytime I passed by.

Oh ok, I know where you're talking about now. When they first started clearing it out, I was worried they'd stick a walmart or something there.

Well, we went inside a few homes and we liked EJ Rock and Francez the best. The CTN's were nice, but just didn't have the amenities the others had.
