If you even consider cheerleading a sport (I consider competitive cheerleading a sport but anything less isn't). Had a discussion about this with a few people, and all of them agreed that cheerleading was more dangerous than football. Kind've pissed me off as I believe that guys flying full speed at you to knock you out was more dangerous, even with all of the padding. What says the MSB?

Cheerleading, which ends at grade 12 for most cheerleaders, causes more injuries statistically.

Football causes more deaths, retards, etc.

Cheerleading. It's pathetic that it isn't considered a sport, and that needs to change for insurance/health reasons.

I think gymnastics has to be up there too. I read somewhere that the sport with the most concussions on a percentage basis is girls soccer, and the sport with the most injuries is basketball. Makes sense...my bad back, shoulders, knee and ankles would not argue the bball stat. Also, I had 3 concussions growing up, and 2 were playing bball (the other was football).

I am struggling to understand how calling cheerleading a sport will change anything healtg related. And you are required to carry insurance to participate in cheerleading regardless of whether or not it is called a sport. So I'm not sure why it would affect anything for insurance purposes either

Cheerleading and cross-country are the two sports that have the most injuries at the high school level.

Football

There are more serious injuries in football and even high school football can and will cause the beginnings of CTE

don't be a fricking retard and say cheerleading just because a bitch breaks her neck. Football has long term serious life threatening effects
