Cartwright?

In all seriousness, I honestly hope he gets a chance to pitch against them and redeem himself!

AC didn't lose us that series. Pulling Bouman did.

AC learned from it. Tough way to do it but he'll be better. He is better. Hell, if something happens to one of our weekend guys, I'd like to see him get back to starting over Bouman or Norman.

Not extending Broussard did.

Mainieri not extending his lights out closer and bringing him into the game in the 8th in a close out game is a little league move. Every MLB manager worth anything would have done that.

Bouman hadn't made it to 70 pitches yet. No one had reached 2B. Only 2 base runners total. TAKE HIM OUT!

That doesn't matter. LSU was still up 4-0 going to the 8th. Bring in Broussard. It wasn't the time to give McCune a victory lap for being such a program journeyman.

In a vacuum, it looks stupid but Bouman was notorious last year for being great for 5-6 innings and then blowing things an inning later. McCune was lights out in Hoover the week before. It just didn't work out.
