Count ?Samantha Bee out of the running for Jon Stewart’s job?.
?
TBS is giving ?the ?longtime ?”Daily Show” ?correspondent? her own show offering a satirical take on current events, the network announced Thursday.

Bee will host and executive?-produce the untitled show (which is in the early stages of development) along with her husband and “Daily Show” alum, Jason Jones. The couple already created and are executive?-?producing a new 10-episode scripted comedy series for TBS based on their own experiences with family getaways, in which Jones will star with Natalie Zea (“The Following”).

?Bee will continue to do occasional pieces for “The Daily Show” until production begins on? that comedy series this summer.

Bee is “The Daily Show”s longest-serving correspondent, having joined the Comedy Central program in 2003. She becomes the latest name crossed off the possible list of Stewart successors, with Jones also heading to TBS, fan-favorite Jessica Williams taking herself out of the running and John Oliver signing a new two-year deal with HBO.
