Raised. Bump irregular in shape. Looks growth-esque and who knows how long it's been there just noticed it today. About the size of a dime. He's 2.5 year old boxer. Wondering if a vet visit is needed off seeing just a simple picture.
Had two friends this week have their dogs undergo surgery for cancer so go figure I'd find this today

I had the exact same thing happen to my lab a while back. Same location. Went to the vet, don't remember what they said it was, but they basically said to monitor it and come back if it gets worse. Worst $200 I've ever spent.

happened to my lab. It was cancer and only got bigger. I would get a biopsy or something before it continues to grow

My Westie had a lump under the skin on her side.. almost up on her back. LSU tested it and said it was benign, but needed to be removed.
Spent $800
I fell out.

Lol exactly what I want to avoid. I figure until it's the size of a satsuma... Then I should just monitor it.
I'm hoping it's just an ant bite, or battlescar from one of his backyard toys

You will want to puke, yet you will feel so much empathetic relief it will be overwhelming.
